To date, there have been two official forums for fans of UnReal World, one currently active and one archived. This article provides an overview of both, with the current one focused on first.

Current forums

UnReal World Forums - Quick access link to index page.

The current forums were established in May 2017 and are hosted directly through UnReal World's official website (much like the wiki). The opening of the new forums was first announced by developer Sami on the 21 May 2017.

Structure of the current forums

An overview of how the current forums are structured.

News board

"This is the new official UnReal World forums - officially launched May-21-2017.

The old UrW forums contain a valuable archive from the past years, but we'll do fresh start here with no migrated posts or users. Go ahead, register and discuss! Also, it doesn't hurt to if you want to copy & paste or rewrite your greatest/latest/most important posts from the old forums."

UnReal World board

  • Gameplay questions - "If you need help playing the game or find yourself confused with the features this is the place to ask for help -- and to advise your fellow adventurers."
  • Bugs - "Report the bugs here."
    • Solved'n'fixed bug reports - Child board for resolved reports of gameplay bugs.
    • Not bugs - Child board for resolved gameplay issues or issue reports that didn't turn out to be bugs after all.
  • Suggestions - "Discussion about ideas to improve the UnReal World experience, or to enhance the existing features. Awareness of the general dev. plans and nature of the game is advised."
  • Guides and tutorials - "Guides written by players for players."
  • Modding - "Questions and discussion about modding."
    • Mod Releases - Child board for mods and addons complete enough for an officially approved release to the community.
  • Guides and tutorials - "Guides written by players for players."

Development board

UnRelated Discussion board

  • Off-topic - "Post here everything that doesn't fit in the other categories or isn't too closely related to the game; something you want to share with the community, photos, real life stories, links, historical facts/queries etc."

Older forum

URW Forum - Quick access link to index page.

The previous forum for UnReal World were hosted externally, via TapaTalk. The forum closed down in May 2017, after the opening of the new version of the forums, but is archived.

As the original forum accumulated a lot of useful discussions over several years of its existence, particularly in topics like modding and the nascent modding scene of the UnReal World community, or the various development diaries and news, it is still very valuable for archive purposes.

Structure of the older forum

  • Suggestions - Subforum for suggestions by players and fans.
  • Bug Reports - Bug-reporting subforum.
  • Gameplay questions - Advice subforum.
  • Guides and tutorials - Guides and tutorials.
  • Stories - Players sharing yarns from their playthroughs of the game.
  • Off-topic - Various URW-unrelated discussions.
  • Development News / Author's diary - The devs share info on what's new in the game's development.
  • Announcements - Archive of announcements and reports.
  • Modding - The first subforum for discussing and developing fan-made modifications and addons for the game. Sami opened it in December 2010.
  • Help Wanted - Forum for help with various UnReal World development and promotion matters. Among other things, Sami announced the opening of the current URW Wiki (the one you're reading now) on this subforum in October 2014.
