What is food

There are many types of food in UnReal World. Some are raw foods, such as berries, rye, turnips or other types of plants. Some foods are poisonous and some foods require cooking before you can eat them.

List of foods available

Meat

Butchering an animal with the b key (If you want to skin it, don't forget to do it first, as it can't be done after butchering!) results in a variable amount of meat cuts and a single chunk of fat. The amount of cuts and the weight of the fat chunk depend on the size of the animal. Larger animals naturally provide more meat and fat. Each meat cut weights 1 lb.

Meat and fat can not be eaten raw unless starving but need to be either roasted, smoked, dried or salted.

These fish make wonderful sources of food, though they can sometimes be hard to find. Fishing in deep water or in rapid tiles makes you more likely to catch one.

All fish can be preserved in the same way as meat, by smoking, salting, or drying.

Food spoilage

Food in UnrealWorld, like in the real world has a used by date. By that, I mean that food can spoil and spoiled food WILL make you sick. Various types of food spoil at different rates. Meat cuts for example can spoil after only a few days in the dry hot summer months, however, in winter months can last for a huge amount of time. One thing to note is that when meat/food goes "stale" it is still safe to eat, however, it won't provide as much nutrition and will taste bland/awful.
