Sages, or shamans, live in settlements of many cultures. They can teach ritual incantations to the player's character so that they may be utilized. Also, the sage can heal the player's character when asked to. Sometimes they can be hired in exchange for equipment, accompanying you on your adventures. This allows you to use their services wherever you are.
