In UnReal World, Swidden marks the transition between winter and summer, its first day being the 2nd day of the 2nd week before summer season and the last being 3rd day of 11th week before midsummer point. Its real world equivalent is April. Out of the crops of UnReal World, hemp and broad beans start to sprout in this month and hemp also needs to be planted in this month due to its long growing time. The month's name means a field that has been prepared by slash-and-burn agriculture, which was the prevalent agriculture method in Finland until the 19th century.

A player who chooses to start their adventures in spring will start at the beginning of this month. The weather will be quite cold especially in the first two weeks of the month, lakes and rivers remaining under thick ice cover that has no risk of breaking under the feet of an adventurer. Later in the month the ice cannot be trusted completely and adventures should take care when crossing frozen water areas. Usually precipitation happens in snow rather than rain throughout the month.
