Sleep
Sleep is necessary for survival. If you fall asleep at the wrong time, you can have a bad time. Falling asleep with out shelter at the very least can be quite dangerous especially in winter conditions.
Sleeping is performed by pressing "Shift + Z" at any time.
Sleeping is an essential part of healing when injured.
Having a bed or bunk to lay on, and/or a shelter greatly increase the effectiveness of sleep. If you have an effective sleeping quarter you will need the least amount of sleep to become fully rested, and healing will work the best.
A full undisturbed nights sleep is always from early evening to early hours.
Having good sleeping quarters can be essential in completing many hard tasks in a timely manner, like tanning many hides together or carving many logs, by taking naps in your bed when tired and then returning to work.
There are many types of shelters to use, so it is important to learn how each one is made. They are (in order of ease to build, easiest first);
● Post Spruce
● Shelter
● Wooden Building
● Kota
The types of bedding for sleep include (in order of natural resource availability, most abundant first);
●Spruce Twigs
●Sleeping Bunk
●Animal Furs
Sleeping Tips
Example; it is possible to create a very warm and effective sleeping quarter inside of a wooden building if you put down a Sleeping Bunk inside and then place Spruce Twigs and Animal Furs on top of the Sleeping Bunk.
Creating a Post Spruce Shelter will always automatically drop a number of Spruce Twigs to sleep on as a bed. Just add an animal fur to make shift a home away from home.
Other Notes
At this time (v3.72), it is unknown if the values for furs and spruce twigs stack together officially, but they seem to add together and it doesn't hurt to sleep on what would be the most comfortable bedding possible. Spruce Twigs are everywhere so use them.
It is also unknown at this time (v3.72), what affect different furs do for bedding, or what affect on the bedding that the quality of furs may have. They all have an effect even if of lowest quality though, so use them like Spruce Twigs when possible.
