The Scimitar is a sword with a curved blade. Compared to a shortsword, it delivers a slightly stronger "edge" attack and is slightly better defensively, but cannot deliver "point" attacks at all. It is inferior to the Broadsword in all but weight and cost, but the former is a trivial difference while the latter is practically irrelevant, as they are most commonly found on Njerpez warriors, who are not amenable to peaceful interaction, let alone trading.
