Boards are a type of processed wooden material for construction and crafting.

Acquiring the resource
Boards can be made from fallen mature trees (tree trunks) or from logs.
You need an axe to craft boards, preferably a Splitting Axe.
The one axe incapable of crafting boards is the Stone Axe.
Each processed tree trunk produces 20 boards.
Usage
A board weighs 20 lbs, greatly limiting the number that can be carried before experiencing fatigue or immobilization due to encumbrance. If necessary, a large number of boards can be hauled rather than picked up by pressing (m), though this requires additional time and incurs fatigue for each tile traversed.
