The Northern Knife is one of the heavy knives, and is more effective for heavy-duty operations, e.g. cutting down young trees, and construction. The Northern Knife can be received upon starting if you choose any of the northern-based tribes, [[Seal-Tribe]], [[Owl-Tribe]] and [[Kuikka-Tribe]].

As with all knives, do not throw them, lest it suffer instant break upon impact, leaving you stuck without a knife, and a potentially still alive attacker.

== Real life context ==

The Northern Knife is based primarily on the traditional Sami knives, as much of the material culture of UrW's northern tribes is inspired by traditional Sami tools and technology. In the real world, the Sami language term for the knife is ''stuorraniibi'', which simply means "big knife".
