Sheep's wool is largely used material for all kind of clothes. Occasionally little amounts of fur or hair from other animals is added to shorn wool as well. Woollen clothes are warm to wear and also give a little defense against concussion. To wear a woollen cloth directly against your skin may however tickle at first before you get accustomed to it.
Wool is a type of material used for clothing. Woollen clothing is derived from this material. Wool has been used as material for almost as long as people have raised sheep, and production of wool has played important part in various economies throughout history and pre-history.

Availability
Wool clothing is commonly available by trading or bartering with other characters as well as worn by both friendly and hostile NPCs. It is not yet possible for players to make their own woollen items or raw materials.
Uses
Woollen clothes are often used over or under other garments and armour for their comfort and warmth. They are slightly heavier but sturdier than linen clothes. Wool articles can make for a fine pairing with iron armour, but they have overlapping benefits and drawbacks with the sturdier fur armour and clothing.
