The broad axe has a very heavy blade. It is specially designed for cutting the sides of a round log to make high-quality wall-logs.

Broad axe is one of the axes used for construction, particularly for the process of building log walls of wooden buildings.

Using broad axe for construction of walls allows speeding up the process considerably, but it has no other specialized use, and it's not very widely available to be found in settlements of poorer cultures.

When used as a weapon or for other work, broad axe is somewhat similar to handaxe, possessing same edge damage and attack bonus capabilities, but greater blunt damage.
