A River is a type of body of water in UnReal World.
Rivers are home to several species of fish, and by extension, a major source of food obtained via active or passive fishing, in addition to lakes and rapids.
Rivers can prove both an obstacle and a benefit for the player character's overland travel. They are barriers that are harder to cross without watercraft, necessitating the player to swim across less wider stretches of river. Swimming across, especially for a longer amount of time, can greatly tire and cool down the player, so the skill needs to be used carefully. Once the player owns a watercraft, rivers become a good and fairly safe type of "terrain" for comfortable travel, even for long distances (depending on the width of a river).
