If I make 1 arrow it requires 1ft of cord. If I make 5 arrows at a time it requires 5ft of cord * 5. Making 2 requires 2ft *2 and so on.

As much as I enjoy a nice geometric progression, this is probably a bug.  ;)

Oh yes, I see. The withe usage additions seem to have lured into [patchwise] crafting, now picking wrong formula for tying equipment requirements.
For a "kind of a fix" (only to save cordage) this can be eased by removing lenght requirement for cords arrow section of diy_glossary.txt as follows: (replace red line with green one)
However, even after this it still needs cutting cords in pieces manually beforehand.

 8) I'm certain you'll get it fixed. BTW I made a suggestion in the appropriate sub forum on this. I wonder whether there is a good reason not to simply have cords be 1ft long, weigh .033lbs and be made in batches of 15. If tying together made you lose some, I'd see it, but there just doesn't seem to be any advantage to having them be 15ft.

Then again, I don't have the big picture of this game's development so it's very possible I'm missing something important that you've got planned in the future.

Anyway thank you for your continued good work on this game - it's about my favorite one and has been for some time.

Fixed now. (As of Nov-3-2019 Steam windows version has the fix already in effect).

@Acolyte, I do read all the suggestions - but nowadays have only rarely time to reply. But yeah, tying equipment renewals with length property are still shaping up after the first intoruction, I'm sure will need many tweaks and additions. We'll see where it goes.
