Enormous Elk is the two man-strong independent Finnish development team behind the development of the survival roguelike UnReal World. The team consists of Sami Maaranen and Erkka Lehmus.

Software projects

UnReal World

UnReal World has been in gradual development since 1992 and has featured a setting based on Iron Age Finland since the mid 1990s.

Prior to 2013, UnReal World was distributed on a shareware basis, and has since switched to a freeware model. In 2016, the game also became available for purchase on Steam.

UnReal World's development has been partly supported by donations of its players and fans. Those interested in downloading and trying out the game or donating to the project's further development can find more details at the official website (see "External links" section below).

Tarupaja

Aside from their main game development project, the team has also worked on the interactive fiction software Tarupaja.
