Man, those new birch-bark pots are gonna make the blanching and eating of leeched poisonous mushrooms so much more accessible to the player! Instead of saving up resources to buy an iron pot, you can now make a quick and simple bark pot for easy access to eating.
My experience with edible poisonous mushrooms is with the very abundant bearpaw mush. Found in cone forests and spruce mires in late summer to autumn, bearpaws are a great and nutritious way to supplement your diet when prey is scarce.
If the somewhat elusive yellowfinger, yellowcoat, and browncoat mushrooms are the filet mignons of the forest floor, then bearpaws are the dependable chuck roasts. Abundant, affordable, and tasty after just a little bit of work.
Go out and grab some bearpaws, everyone!
