Hey guys

Nowadays many people use large displays, even 30+ inches. Also some people are getting old(er) and our eyes aren't as we used to be back when we could see the mouse 10 miles away with our eyes closed. Unreal World uses a cluttered screen wasting a lot of space that can be used for seeing the map. Maybe it's time to have a map like in the first attachement or the link below? With on screen information and boxes you can toggle on and off?

This excellent mod does it to an extent, but you need dual screens as I have to use it properly, else you can just visualize full screen: https://www.unrealworld.fi/forums/index.php?topic=5357

Yes we should update to modern resolutions, and it's mandatory at some point, but that's full rewrite of the graphics engine then.
To come up with good time lasting design it's six months of planning and at least another six for creating, and additional three for testing and putting things together.

When do we take that sort of graphics break, I don't know.

Use of full available resolution for the game is of course preferred, but it's debatable if that means using all the screen for map by default.

It's quite a lot of work, don't even know if it's worth it. I guess the easier solution would be an improved version of the mod @Night  already did, something that anyone could use. It took a couple of days for him to make that mod, so adding to it improvements like on screen information should be way less than 12 months.

Hmm. I'm not quite sure what you're after.. The game map is crisp and independently rendered already using your monitors available resolution, so it's the one element that should stay crisp even in large size. Rest of the screen is just resized when going up in resolution. Nights application just transfers the game rendered map elsewhere, excluding the rest of the screen. I guess for many it's painful that the rest of the screen gets so blurry in large size. It's evident that we need to address that at some point.

I am looking for a larger visual field, full screen, with all the info that it's now boxed on static backgrounds (top, bottom and right) moved to toggleable boxes with transparent or with layers of transparency on various sides of the screen, as in the attachment in the first post.
Like this:
a. https://prnt.sc/r1wtx3 - this, full screen.
The info on these boxes:
b. https://prnt.sc/r1wu67
c. https://prnt.sc/r1wu97 - especially this, it east 35% of the screen.
d. https://prnt.sc/r1wuja
getting layered over the first printscreen, a., as text and graphics that can be toggled on/off.

Something like this: https://prnt.sc/r1wvml, it's from another game, I want to underline the idea. Some info on top, some info on the corners, some boxes that can be toggled, allowing a full visual on the actual map where the game is played.

On a very different subject, which game is this? Looks interesting.

Would love to have the game in full screen, no need to rewrite the whole GUI.
