Training Trapping Skill

I have seen elsewhere on the forums that trapping can be raised by triggering traps (such as kicking via

• ) and resetting them. However, I haven't had much luck raising the skill at all with this method. What other methods are there besides cranking out new traps?

As far as I know, these are the only two ways. It probably varies by trap; resetting loop snares likely gives less exp than resetting a deadfall trap. Every couple days, I go and kick over and reset all 6-10 of my lever traps, and the skill increases fairly steadily.

Kick and reset the spiked deadfall trap at higher skill (65% or so), kick, pickup and set loop snares before that.

Note that skills increase slowly in UrW, in particular at higher skill levels. It's possible to perform 500 dodges without a single upgrade of the skill when the skill is in the 90:ies.
