So I was in the need of an animal to pack my stuff, but I also needed a dog, so, I found someone who sells a big ram and a dog, which one should i get?

I'm with JP_Finn. Get a dog. Then save up for a dedicated cargo hauler (which, ideally, should be a big bull for maximum cargo capacity, or big cow for the addition of milk, at the cost of some cargo capacity.
