Recently a goshawk attacked a raven, and left some bloodscapes on my property.

Here's the first one I saw
Code: [Select]
(143270):68hb:[#]{076706D9}      | You see a bloodscape here.

I followed the bloodscapes back to the a pile of feathers
Code: [Select]
(000000):68hc:[b]{076606D9}      | bloodscape
(000000):68hc:[2]{076606D9}      | 2 goshawk feathers
(000000):68hc:[4]{076606D9}      | 4 raven feathers
(663333):68hc:[&]{076606D9}      | You sneak ahead.

Then it rained for a while:
Code: [Select]
(A80000):78ha:[!]{076706DA}      | You wake up to the rain.

fast forward a day later and there are still bloodscapes all over:
Code: [Select]
(143270):78hc:[#]{076706D9}      | You see a bloodscape there.

I can provide a save

Blood scapes would get removed on map load in 3.62. Sami fixed that.

If blood gets on a surface and dried/coagulates, it takes more than some rain to wash fully off. Scrubbing, bleach or baking soda et cetera.
Tracking wounded elk (traffic collision) if there’s open wound and blood; it’ll stay visible for several days on the roadside. (And on bushes, trees...)

I saw that note in notes.txt but I thought we were still on the disappear after 1 hour schedule regardless of map loading.

You've made a good point about how long it should take, maybe it's not a bug after all.

Sometimes even if it’s new bloodstains, you can’t get information using track skills
