Please consider adding crayfish in-game (astacus astacus) and ‘rapumerta’ a crayfish trap.

Preliminary Build recipe for the crayfish trap: 1 slender trunk, 5’ tying material (1’+3’+1’) ends and middle ‘banding’
Baitable by small fish; roach or perch, or 1/2lb cut of larger fish.

Caught crayfish should be boiled and eaten fresh. Or kept in ‘sumppu’ a submerged keep-alive for 3-5 days, then boiled and eaten.

You mean separate fish trap from the above suggested crawfish trap?
I’m game for that.

Fish trap could be similar to crawfish trap, but larger. (Even use same tilegfx, just sized up)
Crawfish trap could catch up to burbot, lavaret, perch size. No breams though, they’re too tall to fit in the throat. And pike/trout/salmon shouldn’t fit in the crawfish trap either. Or if they’d get in, should destroy the crawfish trap.

But more likely it’d be built stationary from branches or stakes and spruce twigs/clay. With throat(s) easy for fish to swim in, but counter to (fish) logic to swim back out.

We have considered, and didn't find it too important years and years ago.
We'll re-consider when time allows.
