I am alone and trying to skin a fox. I am ready to drop so the task gets paused and it tells me somebody else got the skin. Save available.

That's spooky, and bugged as well - since I know there is no spiritworld involved in this kind of activity.

This appeared to be a rare occurrence. If the hideworking process got cancelled, for a reason or another, at the very last minute it caused the carcass to be tagged "skinned" too early, which then resulted in this false outcome.
