Here is the scenario: I trapped a wolf and wanted to use it as bait for the rest of the pack. I hit it in the legs, causing it to fall (or possibly go unconscious, I don't remember). An aggressive wolf runs over, and crosses through the tile with the triggered trap and the other wolf. Now both wolves are stuck in the trap. Killing one of them allows the other one to escape the trap, it doesn't matter which one is killed. I can provide save files if that would be helpful.

This is fixed now. The conditions for this to happen required the first trapped creature to become unconscious, which allows another creatures to pass through the tile it occupies.
The passing remains allowed as it is, but now the traps holds only the original trapped creature.

Fixed - persists in 3.84.2
