Suggestions / Buying combinations of animals and items

I have a broadsword I want to trade for a reindeer, but I also want to buy some items from the same village. Because the sword is worth significantly more than the deer, it would be a waste to just trade it off, but the game (v3.50 beta-2) doesn't offer me the option to purchase more than just the deer. I would like to see an update in which players can trade for a combination of animals and items, so they can get a fairer trade.
A search for this topic also found another user suggesting the ability to purchase multiple animals at once, for this same reason.
