I strongly suggest Valhalla aka Ragnarok. From Norseman.
Its underrated. You can shoot yourself with a metamorph wand and become something else, o drink some crazy potion you mix with weird result. Wishing, cartography, refill potions in a dimension with pools, dry rivers and seas with a scroll of wonders...
I think is maybe the best before I meet URW.

I have a capture in jpg with suggestions for a bigger grid area. I know I can do a zoom-out but I m too old for see the icons at that size:p
A extra zoom-in level in grid area too.
Keymap made by user planned?

Yes. You can disable some interrupts in the ini, but I use these for hunt using WAIT command in the path of a creature or using my herbivores as live bait for nearby carnivore

They never kill me, just abandon me somewhere. I feel bad for kill them.
Already try punch their faces, sometimes they flee but rush back to combat after any of them attack me.
Also, after kill several of them I see the message "you wake up scared" or something like that.
Already try burn them but still is like I did something wrong.

Its nice spent the day looking my herd of reindeer's. Ear the cows and a bull, the dogs barking, the weird number of birds chirping around. But I m a bit bored.

Already have lots food, its like my traps have magnets :p
Sometimes I remove the trap and let them go, mostly with the small ones.

I request a mod or instructions to restart game courses and increase the number of quest.

I m not into slaughter entire families of people because theyre njerpez, dont suggest that.

Regrow without more seeds?
They regrow at the right time or are doomed to wither?

I now understand the presence of badgers around the house. I dont pay attention to them because try dont kill more than necessary. The place is full of birds :p

After some test:
Heather dont burn. And youre right, they appear completely useless.
Withered plants disappear in the "Dead Month" . And can be burned, but its useless cause you cannot plant anything at that time of year.

I harvest heather, but game say its useless without flower? I guess use the plant for feed fire?

Also: How I remove withered? Fire?

If both answer are fire, need flamethrower. I spent hours gathering useless plants.
