Ok, for science I have scum saved to regenerate the same Kuikka village 15 times. During that experiment alone I have seen 16 northern bows before seeing the first northern spear. Overall, I must have seen about 40 northern bows before seeing the first spear in a shop. Pretty sure the spear spawn rate is set to quite a bit lower than that of the bows, since otherwise such a skewed distribution would be extremely unlikely.

I have checked 13 villages in Kuikka territory and 19 villages in Owl lands, peeked into every single tent, and there is not a single northern spear for sale. Has it always been this difficult to find them or am I looking in the wrong places? I do not recall them being that rare.

Northern knives are also in very short supply, I believe I have seen 1. Plenty of northern bows, though, including many fine ones, and one masterwork quality. Also, lots of hunters and adventurers are casually walking around with their northern spears dangling behind their back, but they are always of regular quality, so I would rather find a higher quality one for sale.

Thank you so much! I was so close to rage quitting this game because of this stupid quest. Your script has single-handedly saved this game for me.

Honestly, I don't understand this! I have never seen anybody defend this quest as being fun. I don't care how good the reward is, computer games are supposed to be fun. This quest is just ridiculously tedious. For a game that receives so much care and attention from its developer(s), I am completely baffled by how bad this piece of game design is.

I was originally surprised that the Bear Hunting Ritual required dog fur gloves. It was only after I hunted a bear with my pet dog I understood where the dog pelts come from to make the gloves.

Haha! I like hunting bears with 4-5 dogs. Often they take the Big Man of the Forest down without taking a single wound. A coordinated pack of dogs is really a fearsome weapon.

Is it known whether the surface that I use to beat the hide on (trunk/table/bench) makes a difference to the quality of the fur? And if it does, then does the quality of the furniture play a role? E.g. should I use only the best boards to construct the table?

I have been working on my wooden building together with a hired hand, and after 2-3 days' work, after making a log, I got the message "You end the task confused and seem to have misplaced something". What happened?

I cannot figure out what I have misplaced (fortunately none of my precious masterwork axes, nor the masterwork longbow, nor my silver ring). Also, why did this happen? I was not all that tired at that point.
