Gameplay questions / Help with Cow in Forest Cover

I took the quest, not thinking I would actually manage to find the time to succeed, but after not too much of a search and a ritual, there lies the cow - or, in my case, the bull. Thing is: how do I make it follow me? Tried to leash it, no game. The quest descriptions mentions keeping it safe from beasts, but I have been following it around and no wolf/bear/evil spirit seems to attack. Can anyone shed a light on this gameplay dilemma?

First off, congratulations on the mods. I've been playing URW for a few months now, and BAC surely adds tons of gameplay! I have no bugs to report so far, but searched both the files and the forum and couldn't find the answer to a question I have: How much can the new boats carry? I know flotation still isn't in the game, so I don't know how to figure it out.  If it has already been discussed, can someone point me to the answer? Thanks in advance!

Ok, disconsider my question. Just found the answer on the encyclopedia!
